What certifications do Teflon wires have?

Now for the Teflon wires, There are only two types of certifications now, Most of the certified ones are UL certified, UL defines many different materials, types, and electrical properties of Teflon wires, like UL1332, UL10588, UL10362, UL1911, UL1726, UL10393, UL1659, UL1815, Another certification is VDE certification, UL Teflon wire is mainly used on the market, and UL certified Teflon high-temperature wires are also widely accepted. But for the European market, especially Germany, the importance of VDE is higher than UL certification. We will continuously improve our certification system based on customer needs.

What is the Fluoroplastic wire?

Fluoroplastic wires are what we call Teflon wires, You may be more familiar with Teflon wires, Teflon wires are mostly made of fluoroplastic material, PTFE wire, which we also call polytetrafluoroethylene wire, FEP wire, which we call fluorinated ethylene propylene wire, PFA wire, which we call Polyfluoroalkoxy wire. 

What is the difference between VDE-approved Teflon wire and UL-approved Teflon wire?

• Countries are different, VDE is from Germany, UL is from the United States
• The testing standards and requirements of VDE Teflon wires and UL Teflon wires are different.
• Most UL products can be tested in China without sending them abroad. VDE must be sent for testing abroad.
• VDE has VDE-CE, MARK certification, and VDE-GS certification. CE certification does not require factory inspection. But UL requires factory inspection every year!
